*Digital Alley
Network Communication Laboratory
Network Communications Laboratory (Network Communication Laboratory) is a specialized technology center on Esil University's Digital Alley dedicated to studying, designing and protecting modern infocommunication systems. It is an interactive space where students learn the architecture of global and local networks hands-on, turning from ordinary users into engineers and builders of reliable digital infrastructures.
*Areas of work
Key areas of the laboratory
Network engineering and administrationDesigning, deploying, and scaling enterprise networks (LAN/WAN), studying the TCP/IP protocol stack, routing, and switching.
Network cybersecurityProtecting data in transit, configuring firewalls and VPN tunnels, monitoring network traffic to prevent hacker attacks.
Virtualization and cloud technologiesStudy of software-defined networks (SDN), creation of virtual networks and their integration with modern cloud platforms.
Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructureEnsuring uninterrupted and secure communication between smart devices, sensors and data processing servers.
*Equipment and Capabilities
Real hardware and software simulators
The laboratory replicates the IT infrastructure of a modern corporation and is equipped with professional equipment from leading global vendors. This allows students to practice hands-on skills — from properly crimping a cable to configuring complex dynamic routing protocols.
01Hardware equipment
Server racksProfessional telecommunications equipment replicating the server room of a real corporation.
Routers and switchesHardware base for hands-on practice in routing, switching and building LAN/WAN networks.
Wi-Fi access pointsWireless access equipment for deploying and configuring corporate networks.
Hardware security systemsProfessional network security tools for practicing cybersecurity scenarios.
02Software simulators
Cisco Packet TracerA powerful simulator for modeling networks of any scale without physical equipment.
GNS3Network emulation environment for practicing complex configurations and dynamic routing protocols.
