Esil University Discusses Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity

Academic advisers A.Z. Abdrakhmanova and A.I. Akmoldina conducted a session entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity” for students from groups Б-ИС-26 and ИТЗД-23/1.

Participants discussed citation rules, plagiarism, copying, and responsibility for academic misconduct. The meeting also covered students’ rights and the appeals procedure.

Through practical examples, students learned that AI use must comply with assignment requirements, generated information must be verified, and the use of AI tools must be disclosed. The advisers emphasised that generated text must not be presented as original student work and that students must develop their own analysis and conclusions.
