Esil University Students Discussed Risk Management Methods at a Department of Accounting and Auditing Seminar
Within the framework of the Department of Accounting and Audit Week, a seminar on "Risk Management Methods" was held for final-year students. The event was organised by Associate Professors, Candidates of Economic Sciences A.A. Kazhmukametova and L.Zh. Aitkhozhinа, with the participation of invited faculty members.
During the seminar, students examined the key aspects of risk management. In particular, D. Rekubratsky and S. Tulenbakova presented a paper entitled "Operational Risk: Insurance," in which they discussed how insurance helps to minimise financial losses, protect a company's reputation, and enhance its financial stability.

Moldabai M. and Rinatuly A. presented on the topic "Market Risk: Diversification," emphasizing the importance of asset diversity, geographical and sectoral diversification for risk reduction and the sustainable development of an investment portfolio. Vladimirova E. and Yatsko A. presented a presentation entitled "Event Risk: Hedging," explaining the principles of compensation, risk transfer, and the use of derivative financial instruments — futures, forwards, and options — to protect against sharp market fluctuations.
The seminar enabled students to discuss practical recommendations on risk management, pose questions to their peers, and actively demonstrate their understanding of the topics under consideration. The event was productive and contributed to deepening students' knowledge in the field of financial risk management.
