Esil University Holds a Tutorial Session on the Sovereignty of Thought in Celebration of Republic Day

Lecturers in Political Science and Philosophy, Zhakhan M.K. and Yeshniyazova A.Ch., conducted a tutorial session entitled “Language, Consciousness and Sovereignty: The Sovereignty of Thought in the 21st Century” for second-year students of the Statistics – 2 group in celebration of Republic Day.

During the open discussion, participants explored the role of the Kazakh language in preserving the country's cultural sovereignty, the importance of critical thinking and information literacy in the face of misinformation, and the principles of the “Adal Azamat” concept. Particular attention was paid to academic integrity, environmental awareness, respect for the law, and every citizen's personal responsibility for Kazakhstan's future.

As part of an interactive brainstorming session, students worked in small groups to develop checklists on the topic “5 Rules of Information Hygiene to Protect the Sovereignty of Thought.” Their recommendations included verifying original information sources, limiting screen time, reading books, studying Kazakhstan's history, and developing professional skills. The event helped foster students' critical thinking, civic responsibility, and conscious commitment to preserving the country's independence.
