A field visit to SOS Children’s Village Astana, a practical training partner, was organised for students enrolled in the 6B11401/7M11401 Social Work programmes.
Participants learned about the organisation’s activities, its social and educational support for children, and approaches to creating a safe environment for their development. Particular attention was paid to protecting children’s rights, preventing family separation, and supporting families.
During the visit, students discussed practical social work tasks, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the importance of an individualised approach to children and families. The event aimed to foster professional responsibility and strengthen practical skills.
