  1. Edyta Kalwajtys – Chief Specialist of the Informatorium of the Centre for Regional Studies of the Statistical Office in Białystok (Poland)
  2. Ina Łapińska – Expert of the Centre for Regional Studies of the Statistical Office in Białystok (Poland)

The lecture introduced attendees to the main functions and capabilities of Eurostat — the official statistical body of the European Union.

Eurostat provides access to extensive data on the socio-economic development of EU countries, including indicators of economics, demography, the environment, science, and technology. The structure of the database, methods of navigating and searching for the required information, as well as tools for data visualisation and analysis, are examined.
The lecture underscores the importance of statistics for managerial decision-making, scientific research, and the comparative analysis of regions and countries. Eurostat is presented as a universal instrument for working with reliable, current, and standardised information at the international level.
