Students from the Tourism, Digital Marketing, Management, and Customs programmes participated in an event marking Republic Day. The meeting was organised by Zh.K. Kurmangaliyeva and A.A. Medetbekova, senior lecturers in the Department of Social Work and Tourism.
Participants discussed the development of Kazakhstan’s statehood, the significance of national symbols, and young people’s role in preserving historical memory. David Torok, a student from Hungary visiting through an academic mobility programme, brought an intercultural dimension to the meeting.
The discussion highlighted the relevance of historical and cultural knowledge to students’ future professional practice. The event aimed to strengthen civic responsibility, patriotism, and respect for cultural diversity.
