Led by the Vice-Rector for Research and Internationalization, Doctor of Economics Turekulova D.M., a working visit by the faculty of Esil University to Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida), Sidoarjo, Indonesia, has commenced.
This visit represents a significant milestone in the development of international cooperation and is aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two universities in the fields of research, academia, and education.
The key objectives of the trip include the implementation and deepening of two joint research projects:
- IRN AP26104777 — "Systemic Effects of Quasi-Public Sector Reform: Towards a New Model of Public Administration in Kazakhstan" — is aimed at a comparative analysis of public administration reforms, the study of international experience, and the development of a model for improving the efficiency of the quasi-public sector.
- AP26105089 "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Labour Market: Analysis of Opportunities and Challenges for Youth in the Context of Digital Transformation," dedicated to researching the consequences of AI implementation, analysing new career trajectories, and assessing the risks of automation for young professionals.
In addition to the academic component, the visit represented an important milestone in the already realized academic mobility of undergraduate and graduate students, international internships for doctoral candidates, and the exchange of academic staff. During the collaboration, educational modules, research consultations, and academic exchanges were conducted, and the outcomes of integrating digital competencies into the educational process were discussed.
On the first day of the visit, an official signing ceremony for Memoranda of Mutual Cooperation between Esil University and UMSIDA was held, which formalised the parties' intention to develop joint scientific projects, exchange students and faculty, and establish new educational programmes, including double degree programmes, research schools, and joint publications.
