G.Kh. Zhakupova, E.V. Savvin, and A.B. Manabayev, lecturers in the Department of Social Work and Tourism, conducted a discussion entitled “Academic Integrity: A Personal Choice or Every Student’s Responsibility?” for students from group Б-ӘЖ 24/1 Қ.
G.Kh. Zhakupova and A.B. Manabayev introduced the principles of honesty, responsibility, fairness, and respect for intellectual work. Students discussed the causes of academic misconduct, the relationship between genuine knowledge and high grades, and the implications of dishonest conduct for future professional practice.
E.V. Savvin highlighted the distinction between using digital tools to support learning and presenting generated material as one’s own work. The discussion encouraged students to recognise academic integrity as a university requirement and a personal and professional value.
